Launched in fall 2019, the Student Success Center was created to support the University's access and affordability strategic goals and initiatives. The center oversees retention and degree completion programs and works directly with undergraduate students to help them overcome a wide array of challenges and achieve their academic goals.
Key responsibilities of this office include:
- administer Complete Penn State, a University-wide program that provides support (including financial) and advocacy for students experiencing hardship during their final two semesters
- lead first-generation student success efforts, including University-wide community-building events (e.g., First-generation College Celebration and First-Gen Student Support Summit)
- provide leadership development
- work to strengthen pathways for campus opportunity and resource engagement and research
